Services for Buyers of U.S. Food and Agricultural Products

Trade Leads: Locating Potential Suppliers
Food Export USA can help you locate thousands of potential suppliers from the U.S. Northeast. All you have to do is complete our Trade Lead Form. The information that you submit to us will be forwarded to potential suppliers, who will be instructed to respond to your product inquiry directly.

Promotional Assistance through Food Export USA's Branded Program
If you currently import U.S. food, beverages, or food ingredients, you could receive money to help you promote them in your market. Marketing-related expenses such as advertising, in-store and foodservice promotions and demonstrations, international trade shows exhibits, promotional publications, and public relations are eligible for reimbursement. To participate in Food Export USA's Branded Program, your U.S. supplier must apply and be approved. (If you are interested in this program, please ask your U.S. supplier to contact Food Export USA directly.) Note that only small U.S. companies (generally less than 500 employees, per U.S. Small Business Administration regulations) and agricultural-producer cooperatives qualify.

Meet Qualified U.S. Suppliers
You can meet face-to-face with U.S. Northeast companies by participating in Food Export USA-sponsored activities. For example, Food Export USA can pre-arrange meetings with qualified U.S. suppliers at a food industry trade show in your country. Or you could participate in "buyers missions" that bring importers and distributors to the U.S. to meet with prospective U.S. suppliers.

Product Promotions
Food Export USA also sponsors promotions in overseas markets that showcase U.S. food products. Examples include retail displays, cooking demonstrations at trade shows and industry seminars, and U.S. menu promotions in foodservice establishments.

Partners with the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS)
Food Export USA works cooperatively with the overseas offices of the U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) to carry out its' mission. If you are interested in developing or expanding your business relationships with U.S. food and agricultural suppliers, you are encouraged to contact your local FAS Office to advise them of such interest. Contact information for the FAS Office in your country or region can be accessed on the FAS web site at http://www.fas.usda.gov/scriptsw/fasfield/ovc_frm.asp
