Food Show PLUS! at the Natural Products Expo Japan Show in Tokyo included an interpreter in their booth; identifying and introducing buyers to companies; providing a market briefing; a retail tour; translation of two pages of company brochure or profile; pre-show market analysis of three products for each exhibitor; and a translated letter in Japanese (if exhibitor provided English version) as follow-up to interested buyers. Natural Products Japan Food Show PLUS! reaped $46,000 in actual sales with $750,000 in projected sales, 98 new buyer contacts, and 4 new distributorships!
In addition, Food Export - Midwest brought qualified food buyers from Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia to attend the Natural Products Expo West Buyers Mission in Anaheim, CA. Some of the services offered included arranging one-on-one meeting(s) with qualified buyers from Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia; conducting match-maker meetings with companies at the Natural Products Expo West Show; providing a guided retail tour, and disseminating a contact list to participants and the buyers for companies' follow-up. The event resulted in $520,000 in actual sales, more than $1 million in projected sales, 91 new buyer contacts and 61 new distributorships!
Food Export Association also brought qualified food buyers from Canada, France, Indonesia, Jamaica, Singapore, Trinidad, and the United Kingdom to attend a Buyers Mission at the Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore, Maryland. Some of the services offered included arranging one-on-one meeting(s) with qualified buyers, conducting a retail tour, and disseminating a contact list to participants and the buyers for companies' follow-up. The event brought participating companies $500,000 in actual sales, $380,050 in potential sales, 85 new buyer contacts, and 11 new distributorships!
Food Export Association of the Midwest USA (Food Export - Midwest) is a private, non-profit association that offers a wide range of services that help facilitate trade between U.S. companies and importers around the world, as well as helps U.S. companies promote their Midwestern food and agricultural products in foreign markets. Food Export Midwest along with Food Export USA - Northeast (Food Export - Northeast) administer some of their services through Market Access Program (MAP) funding from the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).
