In October 2009, Herr Foods, located in Nottingham, Pennsylvania in the 16th Congressional District, took advantage of Food Export-Northeast-sponsored Food Show PLUS!TM tradeshow enhancement services offered at the ANUGA tradeshow in Cologne, Germany, and landed new export sales in the Caribbean.

According to Aurelio Romero, International Sales Manager, “We made several new buyer contacts while at the event that resulted in an initial export sale to St. Martin for $15,000 and Haiti for $10,000. We expect these sales to continue, possibly reaching $100,000 annually to St. Martin and $80,000 each year to Haiti.”  The company plans to add another full-time sales employee as a result of their growing export business.

Herr Foods Inc. exports a full line of quality snacks, including potato chips, tortilla chips, and cheese curls. All are available in a variety of sizes and flavors.  

Food Export–Midwest and Food Export–Northeast are private, non-profit associations of Midwestern and Northeastern state agricultural promotion agencies that use federal, state, and industry resources to promote the export of Midwestern and Northeastern food and agricultural products. Food Export–Midwest and Food Export–Northeast administer many services through Market Access Program (MAP) funding from the USDA, Foreign Agricultural Service.
